These older sculptural works reflect an exploration and adaptation of the shrine/altar form. They are primarily inspired by medieval reliquaries, Byzantine art, and religious shrines, both ancient and contemporary, encountered during travels throughout America and abroad in Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia. |
